                                       they can access data networks like Internet is very useful.
 Learning objectives                   After the course students can:- Explain the terms and acronyms in data networking

                                       - Describe the basic technology under modern networking

                                       - List basic networking protocols and their purpose

                                       - Participate in networking related projects
 Contents                              - Wireless and wireline networking infrastructure basics

                                       - Networking protocols and reference models (OSI, TCP/IP, SS7 stack)

                                       - TCP/IP protocols and Ethernet switching

 Other arrangements                    We will meet normally two times a week, starting from week 36 (Sept 6th), tentatively:-
                                       Monday afternoon 12:30-16:00 for lectures and instructions- Tuesday afternoon
                                       12:30-16:00 for practical exercises in the computer room or small individual
