 Contents                              Practical training 7 weeks in medical units, home care units or pediatrics units, hospitals

 Study material                        Practice placement guide and learning contract are in the Amm harj/ Clinic pract
                                       Tikkurila optima work spacePractice placement facilitator will comment on the student´s
                                       learning contract. The learning contract will be accepted by the facitator, student´s tutor
                                       and the student.Practice placement assignment should be done according to the
                                       instructions given by the facilitatorAt the end of practice, the student will upload the
                                       signed learning contract to his/her ePortfolio in Optima
 Evaluation criteria and methods       Evaluated as PASS / FAIL / Re-doStudent will have a named teacher-facilitator to
                                       whom the student should return his/her practice goals/ objectives by the end of the first
                                       week of the practical placement via e-mail. The goals/ objectives need to be written on
                                       the learning contractEach student should have a nurse mentor named for the practice on
                                       the practical placement. This nurse-mentor will evaluate the student's perfomance
                                       against the objectives that the student has written and will give the teacher-facilitator a
                                       recommendation of PASS / FAIL of the practice placement.Information on assessment
                                       of the practical placement can be found on the learning contract.

 Work strain                     Attendance during practice placementINFO before practice and REFLECTION at the
                                 end of practice is compulsary. During the info session, the facilitator(s) will go through
                                 details of practical issues that the student will need before, during and at the end of
                                 practice. Working hours; 1cr=27 hoursThe student will also give study unit feedback on
                                 the day of reflection, which is immediately after the end of practice
