 Previous studies, more information    No previous studies, this course is destinated to those who have NOTstudied Spanish
                                       earlier, if you have, this is not the right level for you. NB Participants must have a
                                       good level of English and knowledge of grammatical terms. If you feel that you have
                                       difficulties in English we do not recommend that you take an elective foreign language
                                       course.

 Contents                              Simple communication events, everyday situations (telling about oneself, greetings,
                                       shopping, ordering food etc). Grammar: subject pronouns, definite and indefinite
                                       articles, gender and plural of nouns, regular and irregular verbs (in present tense),
                                       possessive adjectives, some prepositions, adjectives etc. Pronounciation. Cultural
                                       knowledge. Some characteristic features of Spain and Latin America.

 Evaluation criteria and methods       Scale: 1 - 5, active participation, oral and written assignments, exams (2) of which the
                                       final exam is most important. Mid term exam in October, final exam in December (exact
                                       dates will be announced later).
 Other arrangements                    Lessons on Fridays 9.00 - 11.30 (beginning 4.9.2015). It is necessary to attend the
                                       first lesson (4th of Sept), otherwise you will lose your place in this study group. NB
