                                       Spanish earlier, if you have, this is not the right level for you. NB Participants must
                                       have a good level of English and knowledge of grammatical terms. If you feel that
                                       you have difficulties in English we do not recommend that you take an elective foreign
                                       language course.

 Contents                              Simple communication events, everyday situations (telling about oneself, greetings,
                                       shopping, ordering food etc). Grammar: subject pronouns, definite and indefinite
                                       articles, gender and plural of nouns, regular and irregular verbs (in present tense),
                                       possessive adjectives, some prepositions, adjectives etc. Pronounciation. Cultural
                                       knowledge. Some characteristic features of Spain and Latin America.

 Evaluation criteria and methods       Scale: 1 - 5, active participation, oral and written assignments, exams (2) of which the
                                       final exam is most important. Mid term exam in October, final exam in December (exact
                                       dates will be announced later).
 Other arrangements                    Lessons onThurdays 12.30 - 15.00. It is necessary to attend the first lesson (7th of
                                       Sept), otherwise you will lose your place in this study group.NB Regular

                                 attendance. Student can be absent 4 times and absence cannot be compensated by
                                 extra written tasks/exercises.Regular attendance is based on the fact that most of the
                                 exercises/tasks are possible to do only during the lessons, like conversation tasks,
                                 listening comprehension exercises etc.
