                                   interest social services students too. So both degree programmes are eligible to enrol.A
                                   total of 15 students will be accepted into this module.Duration 6 weeks. Starting week
                                   42 (week beginning 16th October)
 Osaamistavoitteet                 ●       Is familiar withthe various national and international legal acts on regulating
                                           crime control
                                   ●       Is able to compare different international approaches to penal systems
                                   ●       Understands the meaning of the multiculturalism in criminality and crime control
                                   ●       Is able to work as an active team member in a multicultural team
 Keskeinen sisältö                 This is an international virtual course with the University of West Scotland and the The
                                   Estonian Academy of Security Sciences.1. Students will initially create country-specific
                                   material on one of the following topics:
                                   ●       Crime Control
                                   ●       Rehabilitation & Re-integration
                                   ●       Criminal Justice Policy
                                   ●       Contemporary trends in criminal justice
                                   ●       Prison
                                   The topics will be allocated prior to the course and are liable to change slightly.2.
                                   Multicultural teams will be formedto analyse the theme-specific material and develop
                                   cross-cultural studies comparing and contrasting the systems. A report and/or video will
                                   be created by each team.3. Groups will then review and give feedback on at least two
                                   other topics. In addition, individually students would have to study at least 4 topics and
                                   write a final synopsis of the topics and teamwork experiences.

 Arviointikriteerit ja           Evalaution is either accepted or rejected and is dependent on completion of assignments

 Muut toteutusjärjestelyt        This is a fully virtual implementation with the first synchronous (real-time) session
                                 being compulsory. Other meetings and communciation channels will then be agreed
                                 between group members as necessary.
