The nine- step model1. The morally relevant facts of the case were reported.

                                 2. The reasoning of the relevance of the ethical facts was completed.Moral principles,
theories and/or concepts motivated the determination of what was considered morally
relevant. The motivating implicit and explicit values were present.

3.The ethical issues inherent in the case were priorised -the most morally relevant issues
were recognised? The motivators of decisions (principles, values etc.) were introduced.

                                 4. The possibly conflicting ethical considerations were described and the conflict
                                 solvingwas discussed.

                                 5. The bearingof moral psychology was discussed. For example the intent that lies
behind the moral reasoning was discussed.

                                 6. Once the above was worked through, the views changed in terms of what is morally
relevant about the case was discussed.

                                 7. The discussion /dialogue with the community involved includedthe author's view on
                                 the case.

                                 8. How did the role / organisational-specific authority (e.g. legal medical professional)
impact on the way in which the authoradjudicated the case was discussed was discussed.

                                 9. The discussion included reflection of particularly global issues that were arisen in the
analysis. If so,the morally relevant aspects of this global dimensions were
identified. These issues arising were discussed at the personal, health system, population
                                 and/or global levels.
