Objective and content
The student will develop a deep understanding of a child’s growth and his or her social networks. The student will be qualified to assess a child’s development, learning needs and growth from the point of view of early childhood education. The student will understand the importance of a family for a child’s growth and well-being. The student will be equipped with the skills to plan, apply and evaluate activities to encourage a child’s learning. In collaboration with the child’s family, the student will be able to draft a child’s care plan in a professional manner, drawing on skills from a range of disciplines. The student will learn to evaluate and contribute to the practice of early childhood education.
