Objectives and content:
The student is able to recognize health needs in communities. He/she knows the connections between the environment and health. The student is also able to gain knowledge of health care systems and health care education.

Objectives and content:
The student develops his / her skills in guiding peer groups, functional and creative groups. He / she familiarizes him / herself with some particular form of group activities both theoretically and experientially. The form of group activities can be e.g. discussion, visual arts, music, literature, exercise, caring for close relatives etc.

Objectives and content:
The student understands the meaning of interaction for the community. The student is capable of co-operating with different people in situations requiring professional skills and abilities. The student will deepen his / her self-knowledge and develop his / her skill to be genuinely present in nursing situations. He / she is able to recognize different groups and their meanings and is aware of group dynamics. He / she takes advantage of team- and group work skills in nursing situations.

Exchange students can apply for clinical placement period at various health care environments both in Primary Health Care and Specialist Medical Care in Hyvinkää-region e.g. Hospitals and Health Centers.

Primary Health Care:
This sector includes e.g. child health clinics, maternity clinics, homecare and health care for the elderly in which the students are able to do their clinical placements.

Specialist Medical Care:
Hyvinkää-institute provides clinical placement opportunities in different wards at hospital e.g. in medical and surgical wards.

The guidance during the clinical placement is given in English. The duration of clinical placement period varies from 1 to 3 months.
