Väkivaltaisen Ekstremismin Torjuntamalli korkeakouluille - RAVET)During the

radicalisation and violent extremism into the safety and security work of educational
organisations. The prevention model of radicalisation and violent extremism (RVE) will
be built around two main themes. The first address questions on how to ensure that none
of the university´s activities (e.g. teaching, internships etc.) enable or facilitate
behaviour that is against university's core values. The second theme deals with questions
on how to prevent the undesirable use of the available infrastructure of the university,
both the premises and the information technology. Yet another component to the model

RVE, i.e. define the level of the counter-radicalisation activities. Further, an E-learning
module for university staff on RVE will be prepared and implemented. The model will
be offered to be used in other universities and educational organisations, and widely in
the Finnish society.Educational institutions have had for long the duty of prevent violent
in general. Similarly, they need to prevent RVE. This is in the interest of all both in the
schools' and in the radicalised individuals'.The project involves experts from Laurea
University of Applied Sciences, staff and students alike. Also the project deepens the
collaboration of Finnish security and safety educators, as thesis topics are offered to, for
example, students of the Police University College. The project is funded by Internal
                                 Security Fund.
