Objective and content:
The student
- learns the importance of developing one’s own “cultural capability” as a starting point in order to be able to draw on the strength of one’s on cultural background.
- understands that Multicultural theory is founded on the principle that cultural and linguistic and other differences can and should be used as a basis for learning.
- develops an understanding of the definitions and concepts relating to globalization, and cultural pluralism.
- focuses on contents which include an introduction to Multicultural Theory and Practice, as well as an examination of the effects of globalization, cultural pluralism on welfare provision, politics, and economics.
