Objective and content
The student:
•learns the importance of developing one’s own “cultural capability” as a starting point in order to be able to draw on the strength of one’s on cultural background.
•understands that Multicultural theory is founded on the principle that cultural and linguistic and other differences can and should be used as a basis for learning
•develops an understanding of the definitions and concepts relating to globalization, and cultural pluralism
•focuses on contents which include an introduction to Multicultural Theory and Practice, as well as an examination of the effects of globalization, cultural pluralism on welfare provision, politics, and economics
